Composite bonding and composite veneers are terms used interchangeably by our patients. Technically speaking we use composite bonding to create the composite veneers. This is where we cover and reshape the whole front surface of the tooth to transform your smile.
If you are looking for a non-invasive smile transformation, then composite veneers could be the treatment for you!
Composite veneers mask the shape, colour, and alignment of your teeth. We place the bonding directly onto your teeth, and the treatment usually requires no preparation. So long as your teeth are not misaligned and you have good oral health then treatment can often be completed in a single appointment.
This patient wanted to improve the colour of their teeth and increase the appearance of their size. The placement of ten composite veneers on both upper and lower arches dramatically improved the appearance of the teeth in size, shape and colour.
Composite veneers are usually completely reversible as they are placed onto your own teeth. A typical treatment of 16 teeth takes around 3 hours, and afterwards, your smile is completely transformed!
You can ask our dentists to shape your teeth however you’d like, and we will work with you to decide your perfect finish. From a bright, white, flawless smile, to subtle enhancements with tiny, natural looking imperfections – the choice is yours!
Composite veneers are more porous and softer than porcelain veneers, so they can chip and stain if not properly cared for. We give you guidance on looking after your new smile, so follow our advice and you will discover an amazing treatment that transforms your smile without damaging your natural teeth.
Tip 1
Have airflow and home whitening treatments before placing composites for SUPER WHITE results!
Tip 2
Never bite your nails or bite into hard foods such as apples and crusty bread with composites – these will cause chips!
Tip 3
Have regular airflow clean and polishes every 3 to 6 months to lift stains from the teeth and margins, and help maintain excellent oral health.
